Sable Drop Cafe

Winner of the Dulux Colour awards for Commercial Interiors – Public + Hospitality, the redevelopment of Build H’s basement floor at the Monash University Caulfield Campus by Jackson Clement Burrows Architects comprised of a number of spaces including the new cafe. Previously dark and hidden it has been completely recreated to feature a bright, open and relaxing space which helped open up the building envelope to its full extent. With high ceilings and lots of natural light, the space opens to a landscape terrace giving the sense of open and lightness. A carefully considered natural palette was paired with a coloured green band which encompassed the entry area and balanced the natural tones of the internal space.
