Houzz Interior Design Ideas

If you’re looking for inspiration, Houzz Interior Design Ideas is a free app that offers users a collection of somewhere around 120,000 photos of various rooms and design styles. The app also includes an industry directory of local design professionals, which includes contractors, architects and interior designers.

Handy Level

Okay, so this is not so much an app to help you with getting inspiration for design but it will help you with the end result. Place your iPhone onto the frame and this virtual spirit level will let you know if it is hung straight.

ColorSmart

If you plan on using Behr as the paint for your interior, this app is definitely for you. Upload a photo to ColorSmart and it will create a custom colour scheme for you based on the photo. Want your home’s colour scheme to bring back memories of your family holiday to Fiji? Upload the photo, and ColorSmart will do the rest. This app is available on both IPhone and Android.

Color Capture

Paint swatches are great but it’s not as if you are going to carry them around with you all day. If you have decided to use Benjamin Moore paints for your interior you won’t need them. Color Capture allows users to browse through the Benjamin Moore colour catalogue all the while leaving notes as you select your favourite colours.  The app was created specifically with Benjamin Moore paints in mind and gives users information about the colours and paints available. It also lists local distributors.
