Melbourne Restaurants Offer the Best in Food and Interior Design

Melbourne restaurants are not only home to some of the best food in Australia, they also offer a supreme dining experience with their stylish interiors. Some Melbourne restaurants make it a goal to ensure their menu connects perfectly with their interior design.

Vue De Monde is synonymous with Melbourne and has achieved acclaim for its French cuisine. The restaurant is now located on the 55th Floor of the Rialto building in Collins Street and is a superb space, featuring dark timbers to represent the landscape and waterways of Australia, and eccentric furniture.

Circa at The Prince in St Kilda draws a young, stylish crowd and was the winner of the 2012 Melbourne Design Awards.

New Circa owner, Julian Gerner, wanted the interior of the bar and restaurant to be upgraded to create a relaxed and engaging atmosphere while remaining true to the historic 1936 building. The restaurant features a minimalist interior and Eames fibreglass chairs together with solid oak tables and European styled furniture. Curtains have been removed so that the clean white walls and stunning windows overlooking Port Phillip Bay stand out.

At Crown Casino, premium buffet restaurant Conservatory features a theatrical and luxurious theme. The restaurant is full of light and showcases high quality materials, including marble, chandeliers and floor-to-ceiling windows.
