Ida Breathes Life Into Interior Spaces

For Launchpad 2012, Ida  – a range of friendly, colourful little tables – was one of the ten finalist designs. The  tables are made from timber and designed to be displayed in groups.

Tubert Yule is the designer of the collection of colourful tables and drew inspiration from the craft of hand thrown vessels in creating them. Although the forms are different, they are also complementary and, when viewed collectively, suggest individuality and playfulness. Their design is reminiscent of earthenware and ancient vases.

Ida achieves different effects depending on the finish used. In a Natural Oil Finish, Ida seems classical, but it is ‘quirky and energising’ when presented in any of the coloured options, such as Sunshine Yellow, Pear Green, Burnt Orange, Dark Stain and Peacock Blue.

Solid Tasmanian Oak or Victorian Ash, sourced only from specific plantations, is used to create the side tables.

No matter where a table or collection of pieces are positioned, Ida will add life and energy to any space.
